Troyer Race Cars Supporting Cahill’s Red Scooter Run

Holtsville NY— 4/25/2020 JB Fortin Racing announced today that Troyer Race Cars is the latest in the long list of companies supporting Cahill’s Red Scooter Run.  This event is planned to run on the iRacing service on May 3rd, to benefit the family of Ed Cahill who lost his life to the Covid-19 virus.  The event will be twin 29 lap races around the virtual New Smyrna speedway with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour series race cars.

Ed was a true racers racer, he had established a name for himself driving his number 29 modified at the Riverhead Raceway, after his driving career was over Ed spent his time focused on helping others race their racing goals.  He selflessly helped teams in any capacity they needed.  Ed was also a family man leaving behind his wife and 3 children.

Event organizer JB Fortin had the follow comment, “We are so happy to see Troyer help honor the memory of Ed.  He was more than just a crew member to us, he was part of our family.  I know Ed would be very proud to see such a well-respected name in modified racing coming out to aid his family at a time like this.”

iRacing drivers who are interested in joining the event can purchase an entry through the JB Fortin Racing Website Store (www.JBFortin.com) or by searching for the event on Facebook.  If you are interested in contributing to the event please contact Shawn Weaver at SWeaver@weevnet.com.
